Please join the Mad River Valley Conservation and Recreation Visioning (CRV) Team for our first Community Learning Session! We'll be gathering on Thursday, December 7th, from 6 - 8 pm at the Valley Players Theater in Waitsfield to hear from two regional experts: Gus Goodwin and Drew Pollak-Bruce.

Gus serves as the Senior Conservation Planner for the VT Chapter of The Nature Conservancy. In this role, he shepherds conservation projects from start to finish, engaging in conservation science, land protection, and ecological management. Drew recently founded CRO Planning and Design to help clients navigate complex projects on public lands across North America. He also serves as President of the National Society of Outdoor Recreation Professionals (SORP) and sits on the Executive Committee of the Vermont Recreation and Parks Association (VRPA).

The speakers for this session will help us build a shared foundation as we move forward with the work of CRV: developing, through an inclusive community process, a set of maps, shared goals, guiding principles, and best practices that together will provide a well-supported vision for balancing ecological integrity with recreation and trails across the Valley.
