Last Call for Speakers at the NEK Tipsy Talks Series

Do you have a captivating story or obscure passion?! Do you love to share experiences and tales with others?! Do you enjoy entertaining a mixed audience of friends, neighbors and strangers?!

We are seeking storytellers for the second Winter 'Tipsy Talks' Series, to be hosted at local NEK bars, restaurants, and watering holes throughout the winter months. We strive to get locals out of their house in the middle of the week during our long, dark winters to gather at local establishments for a few drinks and bites while listening to friends, neighbors, and strangers tell stories, tales, and tidbits of their captivating experiences and passions.

Over the past year, we have listened to tales on a range of topics including 19th century mining and logging, southern border refugee humanitarian work, marathon swimming, worldwide travels, short stories, eclectic musical endeavors, a writing workshop, caving, craft ciders and cheeses, and more.

We want to hear your personal stories, historical accounts, natural history facts, tales of love and loss, a passionate and zoomed-in look at the seemingly mundane, and whatever else people have to share. Imagine a mix of the MOTH Story Hour, Ted Talks, and (not-too) Drunk History. Almost anything goes, except politics and kinks!

We have nearly filled our line-up but have a few remaining slots for our weekday evening Tipsy Talks, to be scheduled on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday nights every other week from January through March. Reach out to learn more and sign up!
