The Montpelier Roxbury schools board of directors has scheduled an additional meeting for this Wednesday, Nov 29th, to discuss and plan for next year's school budget. It starts at 6:30 in the Montpelier High School library and is accessible via Zoom as well. The bulk of the agenda will be a presentation of budget pressures with updated information now that we have more clarity from the Agency of Education, followed by board discussion. To catchup on the budget conversations so far, visit mrpsvt.org/budget
Come for the budget discussion, stay for policy monitoring! The board will be reviewing the monitoring reports for our policies on unlawful harassment, transportation, and drug & alcohol testing of transportation employees. We will end the meeting by entering into executive session to discuss a personnel matter - the annual evaluation of the superintendent.
Every meeting begins with public comment, and it's imperative that we hear from you - what is working well and what needs improvement? We're adding a second public comment period in this meeting, following the budget presentation, to give members of the community the chance to ask questions and offer insights on the budget to help inform the board discussion.
