Many of you have heard about the major setback to the Jewell family last week when Queen Bee's Snack Bar burned down. Kim started from scratch +/- 10 years ago and worked very hard with the help of her family to develop a thriving business based on friendly service, well cooked meals, and a great value for the prices she charges. She stepped up Pre-Covid to work with the Bristol Police Department and the Masons of Libanus Lodge to have a Cops and Cremee Program where the police handed out "tickets" that could be redeemed for a free cremee at Queen Bee's Snack Bar. She only charged the Masons $1 per coupon and she donated the rest. She also did a similar program with a group In Monkton- either the school or the library. She supported the Cops and Cremee Program with the Masons and Bristol Police again this year. I have never known her to say no to any opportunity to support her community. Recognizing this, the Masons of Libanus Lodge #47 on Elm St in Bristol have decided that they will be donating ALL of the Proceeds (not the profits) from our Monthly Breakfast next month on Sunday, December 10th. As usual, Breakfast will be served from 7:30 am until 10:00 am. Please come out and support this well deserving, civic minded family so they can get back on their feet and resume serving our community with the excellent quality, great value, and friendly service that they so generously give us. Kim, we wish you and yours nothing but success.
