Poetry Reading with Five Fab Poets

Join us at Abbott Memorial Library in Pomfret for an evening with five accomplished poets who will read from their recent published works and more.
April Ossmann, is a recipient of a Vermont Arts Council Creation Grant, the former executive director of Alice James Books, and the author of We (Red Hen Press, 2025) and Event Boundaries and Anxious Music (Four Way Books).
Laura Foley, whose most recent work is It's This (Fernwood Press, 2023) is a former Pomfret resident whose poems have been turned into choral music and performed in venues such as Carnegie Hall and the Disney Concert Hall.
Susan Jefts' poetry has been published in Big City Lit, Parnassus, Blue Line, and Plant-Human Quarterly, among others, and she facilitates groups where poetry is used to deepen connections to the vital world of forests, mountains, and waterways.
Dale Cottingham, whose debut volume Midwest Hymns is a finalist in the 2023 Best Book Awards for Poetry, has published in journals such as Prairie Schooner, Ashville Poetry Review, and Rain Taxi.
Judith Janoo's latest poetry book is Just This (Kelsay Books, 2023). A resident of the Northeast Kingdom, she is a contributing editor of The Mountain Troubadour, a winner of multiple awards, including the Vermont Award for Continued Excellence in Writing, and was a nominee for the Pushcart Prize.
