2 Plant Walks - Hancock Town Green & Middlebury

Past event
Sep 24, 5:30 PM to 5:30 PM, Sep 25, 2014

On behalf of the Green Mt National Forest, I’m leading 2 plant walks for the public in a couple weeks. On Wednesday September 24th at 5:30pm, we’ll have a walk at the Hancock Town Green. On Thursday September 25th at 5:30pm, we’ll have a walk at Battell Woods in Middlebury. We will meet at the Hancock Town Hall on Route 100 and at the TAM trailhead on Seminary St extension respectively. Both walks will be on fairly even ground and will not be strenuous. The walks are free to the public, and will be held rain or shine. It will be fall, so be prepared to bring a warm layer. Do you have a photo of a plant that you can’t identify in your woods?
Are you confused about the difference between a rush and a bulrush? Are you wondering why different sugar maples turn different colors. You are welcome to bring your questions and we can all learn from them.
