Hello Neighbors, a final reminder that the Cabot Selectboard will convene a Community Roundtable Discussion at 6:30PM tonight, Monday November 20th, at the Willey Building for all residents and business owners in Cabot who were affected by the July 10th flood. The goal of this 'Special Meeting' is to discuss 'lessons learned' as we look back on that terrible day and to -together- consider strategic preparations against the possibility of future events.
This conversation will be a great opportunity for Cabot community members and businesses to share stories from a flood that altered all our lives. The Town will give updates on the progress of repairs and what flood mitigation steps are already under development. Additionally, the Flood Resiliency Taskforce will provide a status update on their work and will share compelling materials (maps, pictures, and data) to inform a discussion of how we might best work together to prepare for the future.
We hope this Community Roundtable Discussion will turn into a regular event where we can share information, engage in conversation, and help each other 'think through' a variety of important community topics.
