November 18th, Thanksgiving Community Food Bank

On Saturday, November 18th from 8am-3pm Peacham Elementary School will be hosting a free community food bank at the Peacham transfer station at 750 East Peacham Rd. Anyone in the local community experiencing food insecurity is welcome and encouraged to come and gather the food they need to prepare a Thanksgiving holiday dinner free of charge. We only ask that people take what they need and leave the rest for others also in need. Food tables and coolers will be set up by the free firewood pile located at the entrance to the transfer station. We have free whole turkeys, eggs, pies, dressing, many varieties of canned goods, a good variety of fresh root vegetables and much, much more. Times are tough, inflation is through the roof, and we know that hard working families are struggling just to get by. The Peacham school and the Peacham community want to lend a hand. For anyone who needs a little lift, we very much hope you will take advantage of this opportunity. We all need a little help from time to time.
