VETEGA & Clarina Saf-T Pet Parade Oct. 4

Past event
Oct 4, 2014, 9 AM to 6 PM

Veterinary Efforts in Giving to Animals (VETEGA) has a new partnership with Clarina Howard Nichols Center to raise funds for any pets that need veterinary treatment when sheltering with their families. In 2014, Clarina Howard Nichols Center became the first domestic violence shelter in Vermont to earn SAF-T (Sheltering Animals and Families Together) status - opening their shelter doors to survivors of family violence and their companion animals. We will be participating in Morrisville's Rocktoberfest Oct. 4, 2014 9am – 6pm to help raise funds for SAF-T. 100% of donations that we receive will support the fund for veterinary care for survivors of domestic violence seeking SAF-T shelter. We are hosting an animal parade at 10am (costumes optional). Pre-registration encouraged. We will also be offering dog nail trims by donation and a raffle. Please contact outreach@clarina.org for a registration form. For more information, see www.clarina.org or vetega.org or Facebook for more information. October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month and October 4th is National SAF-T Day.
