****TOMORROW****
Attention farmers, foresters, and other land stewards!
Interested in pursuing a grant for your business or property, but don't feel like you have the time? Essex County Natural Resources Conservation District is here to help! Come hear about ECNRCD's programs, and earn water quality credits in the process! Let us write the grants, and you can focus on your work.
We will be hosting a meet & greet (with pizza!) 11:30-1:30 on November 17th at the Silvio O. Conte Wildlife Refuge building in Brunswick. All land stewards are encouraged to join, though our programming will focus on agriculture and forestry. We'll give a quick intro about our programs, ask if there's anything that would be helpful that we should be doing, and then have Debanville's pizza for lunch.
After the event ends, we will hang out and go through the Agriculture RAP quiz (https://www.vacd.org/rapquiz/) with anyone who would like.
Attendance of the event will be worth 2 Ag Clean Water credits. Completing the RAP quiz is also worth 2 credits.
Some specific ECNRCD offers which we will cover, depending on interest: Required Agricultural Practices info, grant writing, nutrient management planning, cost-share programs, soil sampling. Bring ideas! We will see how we can help you with them.
