A performance of "Scrooge, A Christmas Carol" by the No Strings Marionette Company invites families and children of all ages to celebrate the season and enter the wonders of a traditional adaptation of this well-loved holiday classic. The No Strings Marionette Company will transport the audience to the streets of Charles Dickens' London with eighteen large-scale marionettes costumed in traditional Victorian attire. Dan Baginski and Barbara Paulson, co-founders of the company, have toured New England for over eighteen years, performing at hundreds of schools, libraries, festivals, and community events. In a culture dominated by television imagery, computer animation and video games, this timeless art form engages young and old alike in virtual reality, the old-fashioned way…LIVE! With puppets!! A special finger puppet workshop will be held prior to the performance from 1:00-1:45 pm with the show starting at 2:00 pm.
