The Town of Richmond will reconstruct the parking lot that serves the Post Office, Library, and the Town and CESU offices. The construction will begin on September 29th and will take about 4 weeks to complete. During this time, the parking lot will be partially closed in two phases: the first phase will be behind the Post Office and the second phase will be the parking and entrance between Town Center and the Library.

Alternate parking will be available at Volunteers Green and the Depot Street Parking Lot during this time. They are both about equidistant from Town Center and only uphill 1/2 the way. This will be a very dirty and disruptive project. People may get angry for the lack of parking, but I urge patience while we make the parking lot a safer place for us all.
