Invasive Removal in Charlotte Park & Wildlife Refuge

Past event
Nov 19, 2023, 1 to 3 PM

New date for the Community members to participate in the ongoing invasive removal in the Charlotte Park & Wildlife Refuge Oversight Committee will be hosting an Sunday - Sunday November 19th – 1pm to 3pm Have you ever wondered what those huge piles of brush on the side of our trails are and/or who makes them? Come on Sunday afternoon and we will show you how to recognize and remove invasive species. Bob Hyams - Creative Habitat Restoration will be on hand to guide and educate participants, as will your hard working Oversight Committee volunteers.

We will be meeting in the Greenbush Road Parking area and working between the first bridge and second on the Robert's Way Trail. This a great opportunity to meet people, have lively conversations, learn plants, maybe a bird or two, all while clipping back invasive plants and building large brush piles.

Bring your gloves, clippers, saw and/or loppers. We have a limited supply of tools available for volunteers to use.

Please contact Jessie Bradley (jrbradley@madriver.com) if you plan to attend or just come day of if you can.
