You are invited to an insightful and fun evening celebrating the 30th Anniversary of the Bridge.
When: Friday, November 17 at Vermont College of Fine Art – at Alumnix Hall (formerly the gym).
Time: Doors open at 4:30.
Beginning at 5:00- 6:15 A panel discussion "Preserving Democracy through Local Journalism: A Call to Action" with Kevin Ellis, longtime journalist, consultant and radio/podcast host will be moderator, and panelists Vermont Public's Erica Heilman, reporter, and producer of the Rumble Strip podcast and VT Digger's CEO, Sky Barsch - with a welcome from The Bridge's Editor-in-Chief, Cassandra Hemenway. A question-and-answer session will follow.
Stick around after the talk for live jazz by Nosmo Swing, with Peter Lind on harmonica and sax, Greg Hayes guitar, Steve Goldman bass and vocalist Laurel Proctor.
A silent ART auction will feature over 35 works of art by Vermont artists. All proceeds to benefit the Bridge.
Local culinary delights will be provided by a group of regional chefs and Morse Block Deli will provide a cash bar.
