Wrensong a capella Performs Mysteries, Conundrums, Surprises, Wonders and Conceits at Old South Church, Windsor, Vermont.
Wrensong, one of the Upper Valley's premier small vocal ensembles, will perform on Sunday, November 19, at 4:00 pm, in Windsor, Vermont, at the historic Old South Church, 146 Main Street. This concert is a Benefit for the restoration of Old South, with a free-will offering requested. The music will feature pieces from the 16th to the 21st centuries, with composers ranging from Victoria, de Rore and Weelkes to Vaughan Williams and Dodson.
Wrensong is devoted to presenting the best in small group choral music, with a particular focus on the vocal treasures of the Renaissance. Wrensong's repertoire ranges from the secular to the religious, and its concerts often include narration aimed at giving audiences a context for listening with understanding. Wrensong has performed in many venues around New England and New York, including concerts and devotionals at the Vermont State House and services at Burlington's Cathedral Church of St. Paul and Harvard's Memorial Church.
