Singer Lisa Fischer, featured in the documentary "20 Feet from Stardom" about backup singers, toured with the Rolling Stones for 26 years. Ms. Fischer is a star in her own right, as her many performances with Sting and Tina Turner have also shown!
At 7 PM on Saturday she'll share the Chandler stage with Ranky Tanky. a young group that has already won two Grammys and is only just getting started. They perform jazz renditions of the Gullah music of South Carolina, and with them performing alongside Ms. Fischer this will be a dynamite event!
Beginning at 4 PM, there will be an open sound check, free to the public. It will be followed by a Question & Answer opportunity with the band.
