Lyric Theatre's The Prom is excited to bring Lyric's 50th Anniversary season to the Flynn Main Stage. With a team of brand new-to-Lyric directors, a cast made up of amazing singers, dancers, and actors, this hilarious new musical-comedy is making its debut in the state of Vermont in grand fashion. The Prom is a step towards a more modern musical while staying true to the amazing production values and spectacle you've come to love from Lyric Theatre. The show tells the story of a young Emma Nolan who wants more than anything to bring her girlfriend to her small-town prom — the only problem is the small-minded PTA that stands in her way. On a mission to reinvigorate their images and find a worthy cause to support, four Broadway celebrities hear of Emma's situation through Twitter and position themselves to make dreams come true. The Prom is a must-see-to-believe musical that will make your heart melt as much as it will make you laugh.
