"Wildcrafting with the Seasons" Herbal Medicine Class Sept. 13

Past event
Sep 13, 2014

Hi neighbors,
Wildcrafting is the art of sustainably harvesting medicinal plants and mushrooms from the wild. This Saturday from 9-12 is autumn's Wildcrafting with the Seasons class, which is held mostly outdoors, in the forests and fields, and is meant to give you the knowledge and confidence you need to gather and prepare safe & locally abundant plant medicines from roots, flowers, leaves, fruits, and more. We'll be doing field ID, harvesting medicines, preparing them for tincturing, oil infusions, and tea blends, and talking about uses and dosage for each plant we gather.
Come with a harvesting bag, a knife, an offering for the plants you'll be harvesting, a notebook, perhaps a camera, and water. Wear your hiking boots, and get ready to be amazed by the medicines that surround us!
This 3 hour class is $30. We'll meet at 2908 Ripton Rd, Lincoln. PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED: call 453-7420 or write emily@sweetgrassherbals.com. More info available at www.sweetgrassherbals.com
Hope to see you!
-Emily
