On Friday, Nov. 10, in gratitude for the veterans who serve this country and protect and defend our rights, the Charlotte Senior Center will host several events to honor veterans for their courage, strength and dedication.
*11:00 a.m. Pinning Ceremony Honoring Vietnam Era Veterans and their Survivors
Please join Robert Stock, Veterans Outreach Specialist at U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, who will be leading the Pinning Ceremony. All veterans who served during the period 1955–1975, and their survivors, are eligible for pinning. It is not necessary to have actually served in Vietnam. We honor all who served during that period.
*12:00 p.m. Veterans Day Lunch
A complimentary lunch will be provided by The Residence at Shelburne Bay at the Senior Center for all veterans and a guest on Friday, Nov. 10, at noon.
Registration is required as space is limited. To register, call 802-425-6345.
*1:00 p.m. Quilts of Valor Dedication
Quilts of Valor honor service members and living veterans with the mission of covering Service Members and Veterans touched by war with comforting and healing Quilts of Valor.
All are welcome to attend the Pinning Ceremony and the Quilts of Valor Dedication.
