So, I'm a relative newcomer to this area , and in meeting various neighbors, I have been struck by the depth of interests, talents and history that are around me. I would love to know more! So I thought of the salons of the Enlightenment as a model and posted earlier this month about hosting such an event. Several people emailed me, interested in attending, so we're moving forward with this (!) Meet at my house - 87 Main St, Plainfield (next to P Pie) on Nov 6 at 6:30 pm - it will be a potluck gathering and one person (more?) will give a brief presentation on What They Know and discussion/community/hilarity/social justice/radical change/poetry/art/music may ensue.
