If you are available tomorrow (Sat) between 11-2, Community Harvest of Central VT is doing a huge carrot glean in East Calais, to hopefully store 4000 pounds of carrots for food shelves and community meals throughout the region! The farm harvesting equipment did not work right and was not pulling the carrots up and out as it should. Because of that there are rows and rows of carrots that are still in the ground and need us to rescue them or they will just stay where they are. That would be so so sad with so many people needing food right now and limited local veggies to glean because of the bad growing season. Bring a digging fork if you have one, and dress in layers, with mudboots and work gloves! The location is the old Legare Farm, now part of Pete's Greens, at 1502 VT-14 in East Calais.
