Last year the Williston community helped to fill 75 bags of food to provide a festive Thanksgiving dinner for families of Allen Brook and Williston Central Schools. The collection also provided supplemental food for these families to use during the Thanksgiving break. The Williston Federated Church is once again seeking the community's help to make Thanksgiving a joyful event for local families. A food drop-off will be held on Saturday, November 11th at the Williston Federated Church parking lot, 44 North Williston Rd. between 9am and 11am. We seek some food items for the Thanksgiving meal, plus staples to supplement the families' needs during the school break. Items include: potatoes, canned vegetables, Jiffy pie crust mix, pie filling, evaporated milk, cranberry sauce, stuffing, gravy, as well as a $20.00 alcohol and tobacco free gift card from Hannaford for the purchase of a turkey. Additional food items: peanut butter, cereal, pasta sauce, canned fruit, and granola bars are greatly appreciated. Excess food will be donated to the Williston Food Shelf. Sponsored by Williston Federated Church. Thank you!
