Hello Community,
It's time again to gather and swap the bounty of the season! Sunday Nov 12 at Lakeview Union School in Greensboro from 1-3pm.
Did you have a bumper crop of potatoes this year, but never got around to making any jam? Do you long for a chance to try someone else's home -grown handiwork or would like some more variety on your pantry shelf? Come and participate in the 10th Annual Harvest Barter Fair hosted by the Swap Sisters. Bring items that you have grown, preserved, baked, raised or hand-crafted to swap with neighbors. Items may be swapped on a one for one basis: Bring items with an estimated value of $5, or $5 increments. (Folks have also often negotiated three way trades so everyone goes home happy!) For example: a quart of canned tomatoes, a jar of jelly, a bag of tasty baked goods, a large winter squash, a pound of frozen meat, a bag of tea or other herbal product, tubers or house plants, knit work, art etc.
Please label your items with ingredients. Come and participate whether you have a little or a lot to share, and bring a friend. This event is FREE and brought to you by the Swap Sisters.
People of all ages are encouraged to participate!
