Rocktoberfest 5K

Healthy Lamoille Valley is pleased to announce that the third annual Rocktoberfest 5K run/walk will take place Saturday, October 4th in Morrisville. Registration is at 8:00am at the Oxbow and the race starts at 9:00am. You can also register online at www.rocktoberfestvt.org through September 30th. Adult registration is $20 and students are $15. Children under 12 years old are free. The Adult Race Day Registration fee is $25.

The 5k course starts and loops around the Oxbow, goes up Pleasant St. to Main St. and continues up Rte 15A where it will connect with the Rail Trail. Runners will follow the Rail Trail back to Pleasant St. and then cross over to Portland St. to finish. Walkers are strongly encouraged. If you have not had time to check out the rail trail this is a great opportunity!

Proceeds from the race are being made available as mini-grants to fund local food initiatives, bike and pedestrian projects and improvements to local parks and recreational areas through the coordinated efforts of Healthy Lamoille Valley, a local group working to increase access to healthy foods and physical activity opportunities in Lamoille County.
