Join us for a three day workshop, ending with a ritual in the Bread and Puppet fields and forest. Samhain is a Gaelic festival marking the end of the harvest season and the beginning of winter. The souls of dead kin were thought to revisit homes and loved ones at this time of year.
Through songs, dance, movement, masking, altar building, fire, and silence, we will create an outdoor community ritual together to remember the dead and thank our mother earth.
Although this workshop takes place at the Bread and Puppet Farm, it is not a Bread and Puppet show, but rather a participatory community ritual.
