The Tinmouth Old Firehouse hosted many years of live music, and we hope it's time to get the series going again!
Many of the wonderful folks who ran the concert series in the past have moved on or retired, so we're hoping that a group of folks will want to get together to talk through all the moving parts so that we can split the jobs up and make it all happen - beginning this spring!
Lendy Krantz put this together, for consideration before the meeting:
Restarting the concert series is such a cool way to bring people back together. I have ideas for ways it could evolve down the road, but first off, it would be nice if all of us involved reflected on what concerts mean to us. With that, here are some questions for us to discuss during our time on November 8th:
If you've been in town for awhile - what's something you miss about the concerts (focus here on the "golden moments" of the concerts)? What did you enjoy about them?
What worked about the way they were before? What should we keep doing? What should we start doing? What should we stop doing?
If you haven't attended live music at the Old Firehouse - what are your thoughts about what makes live music great in a small venue?
What's all the work that needs to happen during and around the concerts? Is there already a list somewhere? Examples include: set up chairs, pick up chairs, change sign in front of town office and put it out, etc.
And if you'd like to be involved, but can't make it on November 8, please let us know at: old.firehouse.concerts@gmail.com
The Old Firehouse is at 9 Mountain View Road, next to the new firehouse at the intersection of Vermont 140 and Mountain View Road in the heart of downtown Tinmouth.
We will be spreading the word of upcoming concerts as they're scheduled - so if you are on Facebook or Instagram, please follow us!
