National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo), the annual phenomenon of writers around the globe drafting a novel in 30 days, kicks off November 1. Since 1999, more than four million writers around the world have signed up for NaNoWriMo's flagship event of writing 50,000 words during November, making it the largest writing event in the world.
