Franklin County Home Health Agency to Hold Annual Meeting
“Defining the Future” is the theme for forty-fifth Annual Meeting of Franklin County Home Health Agency. This year’s keynote speaker will be Breena Holmes, MD, Director of Maternal Child Health for the Vermont Department of Health. The meeting will be held at The Knights of Columbus Hall on Main Street in St. Albans from 3 to 4:30 p.m. The public is invited to attend.
New board members will be elected and the 2014 Oren J. Lane Community Service Award will be presented to an individual or an organization who exemplifies the spirit of Home Health, who goes above and beyond to serve others and to whom the community is more than just a place to live and work. Staff and volunteers nominated for the Patricia A. Dean and Ed Eaton Make A Difference Awards will also be recognized, and there will be a presentation to the winners of each.
For over forty five years, Franklin County Home Health Agency has provided home health care and hospice to County residents of all ages and incomes. Services include both long and short term care and hospice as well as services that help people live independently, such as the Choices for Care, Private Duty, CareNet and Homemaker programs. FCHHA provides childbirth education courses, skilled pediatric nursing and support for new mothers as well as free support groups for caregivers and those in grief. The Agency also offers flu and foot clinics throughout the year.
