If you've ever lost someone you love, if you're feeling the weight of local and international tragedies, if you're yearning to reunite with the spirits of your ancestors...
Join me and our neighbors in the Mexican (also Aztec, Spanish) tradition of "la ofrenda", part of Día de los Muertos—a symbolic family reunion of the living and the dead.
When: Monday, Oct 30 - Wednesday, Nov. 1. | 5:00pm - 8:00pm (Stay as long as you like)
Where: 124 S. Craftsbury Rd (Next door to the Genny) in the sunroom facing the Genny
You're welcome to simply visit the altar or you can leave an offering of your own to encourage loved ones and ancestors to visit:
- Photos (or photo copies), notes, poems, artwork
- Favorite items or small objects representing loved ones
- Dried flowers and leaves, stones, feathers, bones, candy skulls, and colorful decorations
Pen, paper and token objects also available on site.
**Please do not leave any valuables or items you'd be sad to lose. If desired, you can pick up your altar offerings at 8:00pm on Wednesday. Everything else will be stored for next year's ofrenda!
