Join us for the 10th Annual Backcountry Forum! Back in its original location in Rochester at the Pierce Hall Community Center, this year we will be celebrating the 10th Forum, ten years of the Ridgeline Outdoor Collective along with the 40th Anniversary of the Catamount Trail Association!
We'll be kicking it off with a potluck event, beverages served by the Rochester Cafe, and displays from various chapters, partners, and vendors in the BC community including local Search and Rescue representatives. David Goodman, author of Best Backcountry Skiing In The Northeast, will be joining us to share his thoughts on the backcountry movement in the last decade. If you're a Vermont BC enthusiast you'll want to be there. This event will also be the official launch of the Vermont Backcountry Skiing Handbook. This is a brand new resource that provides detailed guidance for public and private land managers seeking to develop sustainable backcountry zones and everything else you need to know about getting out into the backcountry.
There are some pretty awesome prizes lined up for this year's raffle. Over $6,500 in donated prizes from some of our generous partners, and sponsors! Ticket sales are live now through our website, and you don't have to be present at the forum to win!
