Supported in part by Vermont Humanities and in collaboration with Sterling College and The Craftsbury Public Library, I am happy to host The Informal Community Book Club! My name is Ollie and I am currently a student at Sterling. I have always loved passing around books between my friends and getting to talk about their themes as we read them at our own pace. This inspired me to create an Informal Community Book Club. We will be reading Mutual Aid by Dean Spade which will be available for free to pick up at the Sterling Brown Library and Front Seat. There is also five available copies for check out at The Craftsbury Public Library and the book can be purchased at The Galaxy. Posters which will be soon be put up will also have a QR code which leads to a free online copy. The first discussion meeting will take place on Monday November 13 at 6:30 pm at The Craftsbury Public Library. We will discuss the book and then decide on a community service project and craft workshop with local artist together.
