October is ADHD Awareness Month. ADHD, or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, is not understood well by many, even though it has an impact on all our lives through family, community members and others we interact with frequently. Would you like to know more about it?
On Monday, October 30th, on the top floor ofHardwick's Memorial Building, there will be a free screening of the recent documentary The Disruptors, about FAMILIES AND STUDENTS facing the challenges that go with ADHD. This film attempts to show a more positive, better informed view of what is often reduced to social and behavioral problems. A panel of parents and professionals with lived experience of ADHD will offer their perspectives following the screening. YOU ARE WELCOME to come and listen, share, and learn. Please tell others who might be interested! The event will start at 6:30 P.M. and light refreshments will be provided.
Co-sponsored by Vermont Learning-Support Initiative and the Hardwick Equity Committee.
