The Bristol Energy Committee in collaboration with the Vermont Energy Education Program (VEEP) will host a family friendly workshop entitled Home Heat Transfer. This hands-on workshop will take place at Howden Hall in Bristol on October 28 from 10am - 12pm. In the Home Heat Transfer workshop, participants learn how heat moves in and around buildings, and test strategies to keep temperatures stable. After testing various types of insulating materials, we'll apply what we learned to a series of model houses, and measure the impacts of air sealing. We'll talk about what this means for our homes and buildings in town, and what strategies we might use to keep them comfortable in winter while saving money and energy. The first 20 people to attend the workshop will receive an LED shop light.
