Monday October 23rd at 1 pm (yes, before the library usually opens)
Join us for an afternoon of sharing stories and memories to celebrate the Lincoln General Store and explore the role of community stores in Vermont.
Linda Barnard will begin by guiding us through a story sharing session.
Then we will also be joined by Mary Wesley from the Vermont Folklife who will share some oral history recordings from their Archive, which were recorded with general store owners across the state in the late 1970s (including an interview with Lincoln's own Mary Purinton) We will be thinking about the importance of listening to and preserving local history and stories.
