On Saturday, November 4th, from 2 PM to 4 PM, Green Mountain Neighbors is hosting a FREE special event about Safety in the Home.
Join us at Wallingford Town Hall (2nd. Fl.), where Aaron Jones and Melanie Paskevich from NeighborWorks of Western Vermont will talk about this important subject of making your home environment safer as your physical needs and abilities change.
Each guest will also receive a BONUS handout that provides Tips on E-Safety (avoiding online and phone scams and threats), developed by Green Mountain Neighbors.
Light refreshments will be served.
This event will also be a great way to learn about Green Mountain Neighbors, a new non-profit designed to help our neighbors (60+) from the towns of Mount Holly, Shrewsbury, and Wallingford. In 2024, we will begin providing our members with a range of volunteer-led services and community events that will help them stay in their homes and communities as their needs change. Come learn about our exciting plans and how you can get involved – as a Member, Volunteer, Patron, and more!
Wallingford Town Hall is located at 75 School Street. Parking is available on School Street or in the school parking lot directly across from the Town Hall. Carpooling is always a good idea! The Town Hall is handicap accessible, and the elevator is accessed via Taft Terrace (to the right or east side of the building) toward the back of the building.
