Members of the Cambridge Area Rotary volunteer with the United Way Firewood Program each year. This year, we have our own wood pile located on Route 108 near the site of the new RV park. Today eight Rotarians and one community member were chain sawing, splitting and trailering wood to a site where community members in need can access wood to help them to heat their homes this winter. There was so much wood we couldn't complete the job!
We are looking for additional community members to help us finish this important work. We are planning to work Friday, October 20th from 9:00 am - 12:00 noon. If you are able to help out just show up at any point to lend a hand. If you have and know how to safely operate a chain saw or wood splitter more equipment is appreciated.
