The Climate Action Program at Middlebury College and Vermont Releaf Collective are happy to announce that we are co-hosting a FREE screening of the PBS documentary Dolores (you can find the trailer here). There will ALSO be FREE food from Doña Alejandra (tamales y burritos y salsas especiales y aquas frescas!)

* Where: Middlebury, VT @ Middlebury College - Axinn Center at Starr Library, Room 232. (directions in google: Axinn Center at Starr Library, Middlebury, VT 05753)
* When: Thursday, October 26, 5:30PM - 8:45PM - food and mingling starting at 5:30PM // showing starting at 7:00PM.
* Parking: Visitors do not need to pay for parking if they are attending an event. Some places you can park include: Q Lot at Mahaney Arts Center and on Old Chapel Road (parking is more limited on Old Chapel).

* Cost: Free showing + free Mexican food (from Doña Alejandra)... I heard there's gonna be tamales y burritos... ven a ver si es verdad // come and see if it's true ;)

This film is about the iconic Dolores Clara Fernández Huerta, a labor leader and civil rights activist who, with Cesar Chavez, is a co-founder of the United Farmworkers Association, which later merged with the Agricultural Workers Organizing Committee to become the United Farm Workers. Learn about a critical figure in the advancement of labor rights in the United States, who, because she is a Latina and a woman, is often overlooked in the textbooks.

We have a maximum occupancy of 65 people. Please sign up if you are interested in coming!

From 5:30-7:00, we will have Mexican food catered by Doña Alejandra. People are welcome to network, mingle, (re)connect, and whatnot, while enjoying some delicious food.
The screening will begin at 7:00PM, with a run time of 93 minutes.
