Join Master Drummer, Chimie Bangoura for Traditional West African Drumming beginning Monday, September 15th at the River Arts Center! This 6 week class is open to beginners and experienced drummers alike. Bring West African culture to life by learning to play the djembe or doun doun. Come to this class with the hunger to play and have a great time. Students will learn various drum techniques and rhythms using them to play traditional pieces as well as spontaneous variations. Bring your instruments and ideas and create with Chimie. (Djembe’s and doun doun’s are available for rent for $5.00 per class.)
