I need your help finding volunteers! Please share this event with members of your community. Volunteers will work together in an assembly line style to put together simple, wood framed window inserts to help your neighbors save on heating bills and lower their carbon footprint! This is easy work for anyone 15 or older. We are happy to sign off on volunteer hours for students getting ready to graduate. Younger is welcome, we would love to have your family join us. Come out for a 4 hour shift! We need about 12 people per shift, so this is a good opportunity to do an activity with family, friends or coworkers.

Volunteer Roles:
1. Volunteer Jobs:
● Customers agree to participate in the Community Build when they sign up to receive inserts.
● Participation is an expected part of the "cost" of getting inserts, regardless of ability to pay.
● Participants join one 4 hour shift for every 3-5 inserts they receive.
● No special skills are required and accomodations are made for those with limited mobility or other barriers to participation
● Those with significant barriers to participation can be asked to recruit friends or family to help, or can help with off-site tasks like turnout calls.
● Additional non-customer participants should be recruited in addition to customer-participants

2. Community Build Shift Supervisors:
Shift Supervisors play an important role during the Community Build week. We recommend 2 Shift
Supervisors per 4 hour shift. They are usually members of the Leadership Team and:
● Have attended a Community Build to gain experience with all of the insert assembly steps.
● Teach participants how to do each insert assembly step.
● Troubleshoot problems as they arise.
● Ensure overall quality control.

3. Food Donations - Bring a tray of baked goods to some hard workers!

Please take the time to share this email with community members. We would love to include people of all ages! Those 15+ can participate. This is a great way to bond with coworkers, get volunteer hours for graduation or reconnect with members of your community.

Thanks, we can't do it without you!!!
