Beg, Steal or Borrow Returning to Hyde Park 2nd Congregational Church on October 20

Beg, Steal or Borrow is thrilled to bring their music steeped in bluegrass and gospel numbers to the Second Congregational Church in Hyde Park, 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 20th. A delicious old-fashioned church dinner will be served in the dining room from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. prior to the concert. Both the dinner and concert are a fundraiser for the church.

The band is comprised of seasoned musicians residing throughout the state of Vermont: Jeremy Sicely, Geoff Goodhue, Roland Clark, Luke Auriemmo and Fran Forim.

Since its formation in 2013 with a mission to resurrect the music of Old and In the Way, Beg, Steal or Borrow has appeared at festivals and venues throughout the northeastern United States and features an ever-growing repertoire of original music and classic covers. Known for their harmonies and high-energy instrumentals and ensemble work, Beg Steal or Borrow has won bluegrass festival band competitions at Podunk, Grey Fox, and Thomas Point Beach, hence being dubbed a "Triple Crown Bluegrass Band" by Bluegrass Today. The quintet is based in Vermont and continues to perform on the heels of its celebrated debut album of original music, Old Mountain Time. Explore Beg, Steal or Borrow at www.begstealorborrowvt.com.

" Beg, Steal or Borrow have managed to absorb their essential influences — Appalachian, folk and country sounds in particular — and refashion them in a way that's so accessible and infectious that the music's all but irresistible." Lee Zimmerman - Bluegrass Today

"The songs that found their way onto the new record are more than mere imitation — they're the genuine article." Dan Bolles - Seven Days Review

"The first CD released by bluegrassers Beg, Steal or Borrow, "Old Mountain Time," could contend for best bluegrass album of 2019, it's that good."
Art Edelstein - Times Argus | Rutland Herald Review
