The Argyle Friends of the Library will meet Monday, September 8th, 7 p.m. at the library on Sheridan St. Our function is to promote and support the library. A plant and bake sale in May is our one money-earning project, with those monies going to purchase books or equipment for the library and to assist with other community outreach projects such as the summer reading program and equipping little book-bags for incoming kindergartners. The "Friends" usually meet only four or five times a year, and our meetings usually last only an hour, but we provide important support for our little town's jewel, the Argyle Free Library. There are no dues, and new-comers are always welcome!
