In this class, learn to make one of the most ancient weapons known to the human race, an atlatl. Students will learn how to select wood for both objects, carve their set, fletch their arrows using genuine turkey feathers, and target practice through the woods. The atlatl has been used as a hunting weapon to hunt animals as small as a frog to as big as a wooly mammoth! Open to all ages (students must be able to handle a knife and carve). All materials provided. Students are encouraged to bring their own knives and folding saws.
