The City's Neighborhood Code aims to explore zoning changes to mitigate barriers to more "neighborhood scale housing". Housing types such as duplexes, cottage courts and other "accessory dwelling units" are being considered. An important City Planning meeting will be held on October 17th. In addition, the Ward 4 & 7 Neighborhood Planning Assembly (NPA) Steering Committee has planned a dynamic agenda for October 25th - a unique opportunity to hear first hand about what all this might mean for our neighborhood. Speakers include State Treasurer Mike Pieciak, Senators Martine Larocque Gulick and Kesha Ram Hinsdale, Representative Carol Ode and Meagan Tuttle, Director of Burlington City Planning.
