Save the Date! To CELEBRATE our 30th anniversary, the Middlesex Historical Society is hosting a film presentation and story swap at Rumney School on Sunday Oct. 29 at 4:00 p.m.
Middlesex filmmaker David Smith of Capture: Video Storytelling's 2022 18-minute documentary, "Eyesore," is about the history, dismantling, and removal of the old Stockwell/Soule building, a.k.a. "the haunted house" in Middlesex Village.
Middlesex filmmaker Susan Bettmann of White Rock Productions'
2020 30-minute film, "Joe Picard: Man of the Land" is a tribute to well-known Middlesex resident Joe Picard's French Canadian and Native American work ethic.
After the screening, we'll have a chance to trade stories about old times -- in or outside Middlesex -- and talk about the Society's plans to create a digital Flood of 2023 photo and oral history archive.
Cookies and cider provided. Admission is free but donations are gratefully accepted. Questions? Call Sarah at 802-279-7016.
