Hi from the east side of The Townshend Common!
I thought I'd put this year's Pumpkin Festival on folks' radar screen if it isn't already - it's tomorrow, Saturday Oct 14, 10-4. This very sweet local event apparently was on a bit of a hiatus but is back, organized by students & interested parties. Added bonus - pick up eclipse viewing glasses at either the library or the fest and view with others 12:12-2:30.
Another incentive for getting down to The Common tomorrow is the final sneak preview of the new food stand @58 Grafton Road! From 10-2, we'll be serving some goodies we plan to serve at Lil's Fun Food, with 100% of proceeds donated for the new gazebo planned for The Common (counts toward matching grant). And YES, we are going to try keeping the food stand open through the winter on a limited basis. And we are totally honored to first be hosting the Elevated Tacos team on Fridays and Saturdays, 11am - 7pm, beginning as soon as our permits are in place. Besides their fabulous tacos, they will be cooking up all kinds of other Latin-inspired fare. All the prep work will be done TODAY! HOORAY! I'll share more details of our fun and exciting plans (including other guest chefs/caterers and regular events) soon.
Got any good ideas for us? Our ears are always open! Hope to see you at the festival and @58 Grafton Road tomorrow!
