Craftsbury's landscape is diverse and beautiful, and its forested areas are home for an array of wildlife. The forests throughout town are teaming with biodiversity and a variety of natural communities. Large contiguous forest blocks play a critical ecological role across the landscape.
Join the Craftsbury Planning Commission and the Craftsbury Conservation Commission for a walk through Craftsbury Town Forest on Coburn Hill Road. We will discuss the important ecological role this property serves as a forested block in a larger forested landscape in Craftsbury. Come explore signs of wildlife and historical land use with us, and learn more about how large contiguous forest blocks are also important in the rewrite of the Craftsbury Town Plan.
