Blood products to hospitals are still outpacing the number of blood donations coming in, and distributions of some of the most needed blood types to hospitals have been further reduced. Red Cross is working with hospitals around the clock to meet the blood needs of patients – but can't do it alone.

To ensure our blood supply recovers from the current national blood shortage, we must collect 10,000 additional blood products each week over the next month to meet hospital and patient needs. Donors of all blood types, especially type O blood donors.
