Music Event: "Ramp Up the Schoolhouse with Jesse October 22 at 4 pm"
SOUTH NEWFANE, VT - Vermont Blues Society 2022 Contest winner and singer songwriter Jesse Lepkoff, will present an afternoon of original songs in both Brazilian bossa nova and blues styles in the intimate and beautiful acoustics of The South Newfane Schoolhouse 387 Dover Rd., South Newfane, Vermont on Sunday October 22th at 4 pm. Part of the proceeds will help pay for a accessible ramp for the South Newfane Community Association's South Newfane Schoolhouse.
The South Newfane Schoolhouse was built in 1860 as a one-room schoolhouse and served local children into the 1950's and is now a vital community center hosting concerts, art events, health and wellness classes, and a private space for community members to pursue their passions such as dance and martial arts. The community is coming together to raise funds to make sure that, for the first time in the building's long history, the space is available and welcoming to all that are mobility challenged. The Schoolhouse is owned and operated by the all-volunteer South Newfane Community Association.
Lepkoff's songs can have the sophistication of art song or the knee slapping earthiness of 30's style blues. His lyrics can be romantic or humorous, witty or ironic, depending on the song. He has been honored worldwide for his versatile musical talents in a variety of genres.
Everyone is welcome. Admission by $15.00 suggested donation. For more information text 802-579-3386 or call 802-254-2273.
