The Mad River Valley Health Center is pleased to announce that Shaw's Osco Pharmacy in Waterbury will hold a vaccination clinic at the Waitsfield Town Office on Saturday, October 28, from 10am to 1pm. The Mad River Valley Health Center (MRVHC) is a nonprofit organization, governed by a board of directors. In accordance with its mission, space in the Health Center is fully leased by a variety of health care related providers. The majority of the space is occupied by the Mad River Family Practice (CVMC).

The vaccines to be offered by the Shaw's Osco Pharmacy at this clinic will include COVID, flu vaccines (including the quadrivalent for adults over age 64), RSV, and others. The flu vaccine is also available for children ages 3 and older and the COVID vaccine is also available for children ages 12 and older.

Sign-ups are required for anyone interested in getting any of these vaccines. Please go to https://mrvhealthcenter.org/vaccination-clinic/ to sign up for the clinic.

Also, those seeking to obtain a vaccine must have health insurance and should bring their insurance cards or Medicare information. Note that Medicare and private insurance will be accepted. Unfortunately, Shaw's is unable to administer vaccines to anyone with Medicaid insurance at these types of remote clinics. Individuals who receive Medicaid coverage can be vaccinated at the Shaw's pharmacy There is no charge for the vaccines for individuals with insurance coverage.

It is not possible to provide specific appointment times for the vaccinations so we hope that people seeking the vaccines will understand that this may require individuals seeking a vaccination to wait for a period of time before getting the vaccinations. Thus it is important that vaccine seekers not all arrive at 10am. Volunteers will be available to assist with directing people to the correct location in the town office building.
