Science and religion...must there always be a conflict? Join the Women's Group at Burlington First United Methodist Church, beginning Wednesday, September 17 at 5:45 p.m. at the church's old parsonage at 25 Buell Street [next to the church], as we begin a discussion of Dr. Timothy Johnson's book, "Finding God in the Questions." The book is a personal account of Dr. Johnson's struggle with scientific knowledge and his faith journey. As both an ordained clergy person and a medical doctor, he is in an unique position to examine both.
All are welcome for an evening of thoughtful discourse and fellowship. Copies of Dr. Johnson's book can be obtained locally from Phoenix Books, Barnes and Noble, or online from Amazon. com.
